President’s Message

Bob Miller, President

Breckinridge Chamber of Commerce

“It is my pleasure to serve the Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member and President. I am grateful for the hardworking board members, volunteers, and our Chamber Director, who tirelessly ensure events are welcoming, fun and interconnected in our County. Many of you have participated in Chamber sponsored events in our community. Whether it was in Cloverport, Irvington or Hardinsburg, all have highlighted the unique assets of our communities.

Next month your Chamber, in conjunction with the Breckinridge County Airport Board, will be sponsoring the first annual Balloon Glow. Businesses in our area are paying for this event, so you will be able to attend for FREE. If you have never been to a Balloon Glow, or even if you have, June 14th is a date to circle on your calendar! It’s at our airport in Hardinsburg and there will be plenty of food, games for the children and an opportunity to see more than a dozen Hot Air Balloons light up the night! For those of you who want to see your county from a better vantage point, balloon rides will be available. Don’t worry they will be tethered, so you won’t float away. Remember-June 14th, starting a 6:00 PM CST.

Another big event coming up November 10th is the Dinner Cruise aboard the Belle of Cincinnati! And guess where it will dock to pick you up… CLOVERPORT! If you are interested in this two-and-half hour Dinner Cruise contact the Chamber Office or go to our website (breckinridgecountychamber.com) for more information.

Speaking of our website- we have recently upgraded our web page and hope you will check out other upcoming events, news and the list of businesses that are chamber members.

I encourage everyone to support our local business community by patronizing all our chamber members. The next time you need a business service, go ahead, call or email a Breckinridge County Chamber representative. You will be pleasantly surprised by our quality of service.

In closing, on behalf of the Chamber Board and our Director, I would like to thank the 211 members of The Breckinridge County Chamber who donate their personal time to benefit all of us here in Breckinridge County.”
