Biography
Barr Realty & Auction Co., Inc. was founded in 1970 by Alfred Barr (1928-1983). Since its inception the company has sold millions of dollars worth of Real and Personal Property using the auction method. While the total sum of these auctions results in an impressive figure, we conduct a wide variety of auctions – from small household auctions to hundreds of acres of timberland. Every auction, regardless of its size, receives the same professional attention. We have come to be recognized as experts in our field. We have marketed all types of real estate and personal property, including Farms, Condominiums, Resorts, Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Investment Properties.
We are full-time professional auctioneers and real estate professionals. We are members of the National Auctioneers Association, Kentucky Auctioneers Association, Indiana Auctioneers Association, and the Auction Marketing Institute at Indiana University. When you employ us, you are not hiring someone who just holds a license and seldom practices the auction or real estate profession. We work in the auction and real estate profession daily and you can count on us to handle your auction or real estate transaction professionally.
Our service areas include, but are not limited to, Meade County, Breckinridge County, Harrison County, and the surrounding areas of Fort Knox.
